Kia Sportage: Floor mat anchors

Secure each floor mat to its designated anchor to prevent it from sliding forward while driving.

WARNING

• Aftermarket floor mats

  • Do not install aftermarket mats that cannot be firmly secured to the Kia Sportage floor mat anchors. A loose mat may move beneath the pedals and interfere with their operation.

• Use mats that are not excessively thick and are designed to fit and attach securely to the floor. Before fitting them, remove any plastic film covering the carpet. Leaving the film in place may damage or break the mat retaining rings and allow the mats to come loose. Loose mats in the driver’s footwell can interfere with the accelerator or brake pedal and may lead to unintended acceleration or braking.
