Kia Sportage: If the Engine Does Not StartTIP
If the engine will not start, first check the fuel level and whether the battery may be discharged.
What to do
WARNING
If the engine does not start, do not try to start the Kia Sportage by pushing or pulling it. This could cause a collision or other damage. Push- or pull-starting may also overload the catalytic converter and create a fire hazard.
NOTE
Do not attempt to start the vehicle by pushing or pulling it. Refer to the “Jump-Starting” instructions.
What to do
If the engine still will not start, contact a qualified workshop or arrange other professional assistance. Kia recommends contacting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.
