Average Fuel Economy
The average fuel economy is calculated from the distance travelled and fuel consumed since the last reset.
Display range: 0–99.9 L/100 km, km/L or mpg.
You can reset the average fuel economy manually, or it can reset automatically.
NOTE
For a more accurate calculation, average fuel economy is not displayed until the Kia Sportage has travelled more than
10 seconds or 300 metres (0.19 miles) after the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button is set to
ON.
Instant Fuel Economy
This view shows fuel economy over the last few seconds when the vehicle is travelling faster than 8 km/h (5 mph).
Display range: 0–30 L/100 km, km/L or 0–50 mpg.
|
This view shows the current status of these systems:
Lane Safety system
Smart Cruise Control
Lane Following Assist
For details about each feature, refer to the relevant section under “Driving your vehicle.”
|
The Navigation view displays information from the navigation system.
Low tyre pressure warning display
|
A: Low tyre pressure |
This view provides tyre pressure information. For further details, refer to the “Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)” section.
Drive Info display
Once during each ignition cycle, this view displays the current trip distance (1), average fuel economy (2) and total driving time (3).
|
A: Current Trip
|
Fuel economy is calculated after the vehicle has travelled more than 300 metres.
Drive Info resets if the driver’s door is opened after the engine is switched off, or if three minutes pass after the engine is restarted.
When the engine is running, the displayed information continues to accumulate even if the Kia Sportage is stationary.
Information since refuelling
This view shows the distance travelled, average fuel economy and instant fuel economy—or total driving time—since the last refuelling.
|
A: Since Refuelling
|
The information is calculated after the vehicle has travelled more than 300 metres (0.19 miles) since refuelling.
To reset the displayed information manually, press and hold the OK button for more than one second
while this view is shown. The information also resets automatically when you drive after refuelling.
When the engine is running, the displayed information continues to accumulate even if the vehicle is stationary.
Accumulated driving information mode
This view displays the accumulated trip distance (1), average fuel economy (2) and total driving time (3).
|
A: Since Last Reset
|
Accumulated information is calculated after the vehicle has travelled more than 300 metres.
To reset the cumulative information, press and hold the OK button for more than one second while
this view is displayed.
When the engine is running, the displayed information continues to accumulate even if the vehicle is stationary.
Master warning mode
|
This view brings attention to conditions such as:
A driver assistance system fault, limitation or blocked radar or camera.
An LED headlamp fault.
A lamp fault.
A TPMS fault, low tyre pressure or a related warning.
When a warning is active, the Master Warning symbol
appears. Once the condition has been resolved, the
master warning light turns off and the symbol disappears.
Service mode
Service mode helps you keep track of scheduled maintenance for your Kia Sportage by displaying the service interval information.
|
A: Service Interval |
Service in
The display calculates and shows how much driving distance or time remains before the next scheduled maintenance service.
When the remaining interval reaches 1,500 km (900 miles) or 30 days, the “Service in” message appears for several
seconds each time you switch the ignition or press the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON
position.
Service required
If the Kia Sportage has not been serviced by the mileage or date set in the service interval, a “Service required”
message appears for several seconds whenever you switch the ignition or press the ENGINE START/STOP
button to the ON position.
To reset the service interval to the previously entered distance and number of days:
Press and hold the OK button (Reset) for more than one second.
NOTE
The displayed distance or number of days may be inaccurate if either of these conditions occurs:
The battery cable is disconnected.
The battery is discharged.
