Climate control features

Automatic air ventilation: (if equipped)

If the heater or air conditioner is operating and recirculated air remains selected for 30 minutes or longer at a low temperature, the system automatically switches to fresh-air mode. The change depends on the outside temperature.

Setting automatic air ventilation

To enable Auto dehumidify, open the infotainment system settings and select Settings > Vehicle > Climate > Automatic Ventilation > Auto dehumidify.

TIP

Sunroof inside air recirculation: (if equipped)

When the sunroof is opened while the heating or air conditioning system is operating, the air intake automatically changes to outside (fresh) air.

If you select recirculated air while the sunroof is open, the system keeps that setting for 3 minutes before switching automatically to outside (fresh) air.

After the sunroof is closed, the air intake returns to the setting that was selected before the sunroof was opened.

Activate upon washer fluid use: (if equipped)

To help prevent washer fluid odour from entering the cabin, the ventilation system temporarily switches to recirculated air when windscreen washer fluid is sprayed.

To enable this feature on the infotainment system, select Settings > Climate > Recirculate Air > Activate upon Washer Fluid Use.

TIP

Smart Temperature Comfort Control System (for driver's seat): (if equipped)

While the vehicle is running, the system automatically adjusts the driver’s seat warmer, seat ventilation and steering wheel heater according to the temperatures inside and outside the Kia Sportage.

After the vehicle is restarted, the steering wheel heater and seat warmer or ventilation are normally off. If the automatic climate-linked controls are enabled, however, these features can switch on or off in response to the interior and exterior temperatures.
