The system may alert the driver with a flashing Forward Safety warning light
, an instrument-cluster message,
an audible warning and steering-wheel vibration, if equipped.

Your vehicle speed: 10–130 km/h (6–80 mph)

A: Emergency braking |
During emergency braking, the Forward Safety warning light flashes
. The driver may also
receive an instrument-cluster message and audible warning, with steering-wheel vibration if equipped.
Emergency braking operates under the following approximate speed conditions:
Your vehicle speed: 30–130 km/h (19–80 mph)
Oncoming vehicle or powered two-wheeler speed: above approximately 10 km/h (6 mph)
Vehicle stop and end of brake control
![]() |
A: Drive carefully |
If emergency braking stops the vehicle, a warning message appears on the instrument cluster.
Press the brake pedal immediately and check the surroundings before proceeding.
Brake control ends approximately two seconds after emergency braking has stopped the vehicle.
CAUTION
If your vehicle or the oncoming vehicle is not travelling straight, Direct Oncoming warnings and braking assistance may be delayed or may not operate.
At night, powered two-wheelers may be harder for the system to recognise. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist may therefore be temporarily limited or may not operate.
NOTE
You can silence the warning sound used during collision warnings and emergency braking by pressing the hazard warning flasher switch.
