Kia Sportage: Intelligent Speed Limit Assist settings

With the Kia Sportage switched on, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Speed Limit in the infotainment system to configure Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA).

Country Selection: If navigation is not enabled, select the country manually from the menu. Choose the country where you are currently driving so the function can provide the appropriate information.

Speed Limit Assist: ISLA displays the detected speed limit and additional road signs, and warns you if you drive above the posted limit. It can also prompt you to adjust the set speed for Manual Speed Limit Assist or Smart Cruise Control, if equipped, to help you stay within the limit.

Speed Limit Warning: ISLA displays speed limits and additional road signs, and warns you when the Kia Sportage is travelling faster than the detected limit.

Off: Switches ISLA off. The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist warning indicator (
) appears on the instrument cluster.
WARNING
After you switch the vehicle off and restart it, the speed limit warning turns on automatically. Park the Kia Sportage in a safe place before changing ISLA settings.

With the vehicle switched on, open Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance 
(Warning Methods) in the
infotainment system to adjust these alerts:

Warning Volume: Sets the volume of audible warnings.

Speed Limit Warning Sound: Turns the speed limit warning sound on or off.

Speed Limit Change Notification Sound: Turns the sound that announces a change in the speed limit on or off.
TIP

The selected Warning Methods may also apply to alerts from other driver assistance systems. Check the settings for each function to confirm how its warnings are configured.

Warning Methods retain their last setting when the vehicle is restarted.

Depending on the Kia Sportage’s equipment and specifications, some settings may not be available.
