Kia Sportage: Lane Keeping Assist settings
![]() |

With the Kia Sportage switched on, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Safety on the infotainment screen to access the Lane Safety setting.
Lane Safety: When the system detects that the vehicle is leaving its lane, it can assist with
steering to help keep the vehicle on course. If the vehicle leaves the lane, it can also alert the driver with an
audible warning and steering-wheel vibration, if equipped. If Lane Safety is deselected, the yellow indicator
appears on the
instrument cluster.
WARNING
Lane Keeping Assist does not steer the vehicle when it is travelling in the centre of the lane.
If Lane Safety is switched off, the driver must monitor the surroundings and steer the vehicle as needed.
Lane Keeping Assist activates automatically when the vehicle is switched on again, and Lane Safety is selected automatically.
CAUTION
When a trailer connector is plugged into the vehicle, Lane Keeping Assist switches off automatically. The system cannot provide assistance while it is inactive, so take extra care when driving. This applies when the vehicle uses a genuine Kia Trailer Kit that can detect a connected trailer.
NOTE
Lane Keeping Assist settings are retained when the engine is switched off and the vehicle is restarted.
Pressing and holding the Lane Driving Assist button
switches
off Lane Keeping Assist and deselects Lane Safety.

Haptic Warning: Switches steering-wheel vibration warnings on or off, if equipped.
Lane Safety Warning Sound: Switches the Lane Safety warning sound on or off when Haptic Warning is enabled.
Driving Safety Priority: Lowers the volume of other audio when a Driving Safety system issues a warning.
NOTE
A change to the Warning Method may apply to individual driver assistance functions. Check and adjust the setting for each function as needed.
The last Warning Method setting is retained when the vehicle is restarted.
