Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Disabled

Kia Sportage instrument cluster message indicating that Driver Assistance is limited because the camera is obscured

A: Driver Assistance system limited. Camera obscured.

The wide-rear-view camera and rear ultrasonic sensors detect objects around the Kia Sportage. Snow, rain, or other foreign material on the camera or sensors may temporarily limit Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist or prevent it from operating.

To identify the affected detection sensor, check the warning target shown in Master Warning mode under the utility information view of the instrument cluster. The target may identify the wide-rear-view camera or a rear ultrasonic sensor. Remove any material covering the camera or sensors and keep these areas clean. Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist should operate normally once the obstruction is removed. If it still does not work correctly, Kia recommends contacting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.

NOTE

You can review the sensor warning in Master Warning mode under the utility information view of the instrument cluster.
