The urea solution level gauge shows the approximate amount of solution remaining in the tank.

The gauge appears whenever the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position.

Low-urea warnings begin when the remaining amount falls to approximately 5.4 L. If the Low Urea message appears with the SCR warning light (), refill the urea solution tank. If you continue driving without refilling, the warning escalates to a Refill Urea message accompanied by the SCR warning light ().

Refill the tank promptly when this warning appears. As the remaining solution approaches a critically low level, the message Refill Urea in 000 km or vehicle will not start appears with the SCR warning light (). The displayed distance is the remaining permitted travel distance. Do not continue driving until that distance is exhausted without replenishing the tank.

If the countdown reaches its limit, the Kia Sportage cannot be restarted after you switch off the engine using the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button. The distance remaining may differ from the actual distance you can travel because it depends on driving style, environmental conditions and the road. Add a sufficient amount of urea solution when the Low Urea or Refill Urea message appears. If the Refill Urea in 000 km or vehicle will not start warning appears, replenish the tank with a sufficient amount.

When the Refill Urea tank or vehicle will not start message appears together with the SCR warning light (), the vehicle cannot be restarted after the engine is switched off using the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button. In these circumstances, a full refill is recommended.
