The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) identifies your Kia Sportage for vehicle registration and legal matters relating to its ownership. The number is located in one of the following places, depending on the vehicle type:

• Type A: The VIN is stamped into the floor beneath the front right seat. Open the cover to view it.

• Type B: The VIN is printed on a plate attached to the top of the instrument cluster and can be seen through the front windscreen.

The vehicle certification label is attached to the centre pillar, as shown. It displays the Kia Sportage Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
