Driver Assistance Warning Method

Change the Warning Method while the Kia Sportage is switched on. In the infotainment system settings, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Warning Method to adjust the following option:

• Warning Volume: Adjusts the volume of the audible warning.

TIP

• The Warning Method setting may also apply to other driver assistance systems. Check the settings for each function and adjust them as needed.
• The Warning Method retains its most recent setting after the vehicle is restarted.
• This settings menu may not be available, depending on the vehicle’s features and specification.

Parking Distance Warning Auto On

You can configure Parking Distance Warning to activate automatically at low speeds. To enable Parking Distance Warning Auto On, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Parking Distance Warning Auto On in the infotainment system.

CAUTION

When the trailer connector is plugged into the Kia Sportage, Reverse Parking Distance Warning switches off automatically if a genuine Kia Trailer Kit capable of detecting a connected trailer is installed. Reverse Parking Distance Warning will then be unavailable, so take extra care while driving or reversing with the function inactive.

NOTE

When Parking Distance Warning Auto On is enabled, the Parking Safety button indicator () remains illuminated.
