Kia Sportage Owner’s Manual (5th Generation, NQ5; 2022+) / Driving your vehicle / All Wheel Drive (AWD) system: (if equipped)

The All Wheel Drive (AWD) system can deliver engine power to both the front and rear wheels to help maximise traction.

AWD is useful when additional traction is needed, such as on slippery, muddy, wet or snow-covered roads.

When the system determines that four-wheel drive is needed, it automatically distributes engine power to all four wheels.
