While the Kia Sportage is stopped, Safe Exit Warning (SEW) monitors for vehicles approaching the rear corner. If someone opens a door while a vehicle is approaching, the system may display a warning and sound an alert to help prevent a collision.

CAUTION

Warning timing can vary with the speed of the approaching vehicle. Always check the road and surrounding traffic before opening a door.
